Trials Training Center
A 650-acre mountain property outside Sequatchie where people of all ages learn motorcycle trials, and where some of the toughest off-road races in the country come to town.
Motorcycle trials is a sport of balance and control. Riders pick their way over boulders, logs and ledges at a walking pace, trying not to put a foot down. The Trials Training Center, on 650 acres of rocky mountain land just outside Sequatchie, is one of the best-known places in the country to learn it.
Learn to ride
You don’t need a motorcycle or any experience. Beginner lessons come with a bike, the riding gear and an instructor, and the center teaches all ages. Experienced riders bring their own bikes to train on trails that run from easy to extreme.
Watch the big races
The center hosts trials competitions and the Red Bull Tennessee Knockout, an extreme enduro that draws top pro riders from around the world. Spectators are welcome at the big events. Check the event schedule for what’s coming up.
Stay the weekend
There are cabins, RV sites and tent sites on the property, so you can ride or watch all day and camp on site. Book through trialstrainingcenter.com or call (423) 942-8688.
Everyone on the property signs a release, and side-by-sides, Jeeps and four-wheelers aren’t allowed.
