Ketner's Mill Country Arts & Crafts Fair

Ketner’s Mill is a water-powered grist mill on the Sequatchie River in Whitwell, built in the 1800s and still in working order. On the first weekend of October it hosts the Ketner’s Mill Country Arts & Crafts Fair.

What happens at the fair

• Craft makers from around the region sell handmade goods.
• Bands play live music.
• Food vendors serve Southern fair food.
• There are wagon rides and blacksmith demonstrations.
• The mill runs on river power while you watch.

The fair also raises money to keep the mill preserved.

The mill is closed outside the fair

The mill grounds are closed to public recreation. You can’t visit on an ordinary day, so the October fair is the time to see the mill.

Ketner’s Mill Arena is a different place

Ketner’s Mill Arena, at 2350 Ketner Mill Rd, is a separate business. It is an outdoor arena that holds rodeos and concerts and has RV sites. The craft fair is held at the mill, not the arena. See Camping & RVs for the arena’s RV sites.
